Shanghai filmfest announces new dates

The Shanghai International Film Festival has officially announced the launching date.

After the festival was temporary postponed over coronavirus outbreak, the organizers of the 23rd edition of the event has announced the new dates for the festival.

Based on a latest report, the Shanghai International Film Festival will be held on July 25 – August 2, 2020.

Founded in 1993, SIFF focuses on awards, markets, forums and film exhibitions so as to build an international platform, and promote the development of the Chinese film festival.

The novel coronavirus has so far infected more than five million people across the world and killed more than 329,700.

The pandemic forced the cancellation or postponement of many cultural events worldwide.
